TRAINING

Training days take place on the first Sunday of each month with the exception of January.  We have now implemented a new training schedule for our monthly training meetings.  This concentrates on modules irrespective of age (not the handler but the dog!) to enable inexperienced handlers/dogs to complete each module before progressing onto the next stage.  Puppies and basic obedience starts at 10am followed by Novice standard at 11am, then Open standard at 12 noon.

We meet at Three legged Cross throughout the year.  See DIRECTIONS page.

Dogs are divided into groups of puppies, novices and more experienced dogs and handlers.

There is a charge of £2 per dog including tea/coffee.

You will need to bring the following training equipment:
1 dog! (or more) slip lead, whistle and named training dummies.  Leads, whistles, dummies and other items are available to purchase from the club at reduced retail prices.

Our main aim is to help you to train your dog to the standard that you require e.g. basic gundog obedience, working tests, field trails, beating and shooting.  We also give advice and help you with any training problems you may have however large or small.
